I'm often asked whether it's necessary to book. The answer is that whilst it's not essential, it is certainly helpful, so please do so if you can. The first reason is that there is typically just one person on duty at the course and in quiet times they will do grounds maintenance somewhere on the course, and hence not be at the shop ready to serve visitors. The second reason is that the mobile payment system can be slow and somewhat unreliable, causing delays. The third reason is that by having booking slots we can avoid bottlenecks at popular times. We appreciate that numbers can be uncertain, but that's not a problem, we can refund if someone drops out, or you can pay the extra on arrival if someone extra comes. We appreciate that you may be uncertain about time of arrival, but you won't forfeit your booking if you arrive late, and you won't have to wait if you arrive early.
The course is now open from midday to sunset, Tuesday to Friday; and from 10:00 - 18:00 on weekends and bank holidays. Closed on Mondays
The long course is reserved for a Doubles Tournament on 15th October 2023
The Quarry Park Club is planning some regular weekday evening events including a weekly putting league and glow golf. There will usually also be doubles on Sunday morning, meet at 10, in which the top half of higher rated players are randomly paired with a lower rated player. The club is a separate entity to the course and you can find information on the clubs facebook page. The Club aims to provide regular opportunities for members to socialise, compete, train and introduce the wider community to our beloved sport.

The course is open as usual from 10am to sunset at weekends. Tuesdays we are open from 5pm for glow golf, but it may be self service. Fridays we are open form 11 until sunset. The course may be open from 11 Tuesday to Thursday,but this is not guaranteed unless you may prior arrangements.
There is a "league" running on Sunday mornings until 4th December, all welcome. It's organised by David and Norean Woodhead and details posted on the Quarry Park Facebook Group. Open to all players.
